DAVID TERRIAULT - MUSIC DIRECTOR

RESUME

BIO:

Born and raised in Montreal, David is a music director, pianist, conductor, arranger, orchestrator, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano from McGill University.

Currently, David is working as the music director and conductor of the new French version of Les Misérables presented in Montreal and Québec in collaboration with Théâtre Châtelet in Paris. 

 He’s an active member of both French and English theatre communities across Canada. He has collaborated with several companies across the country such as Stratford, Mirvish, Musical Stage Co., Soulpepper, National Arts Centre, Young People’s Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Theatre Aquarius, Sheridan College, St-Lawrence College (Ontario), Théâtre Duceppe, Juste Pour Rire, ComediHa!, Segal Centre, Théâtre du Centaur, Théâtre de l’Oeil Ouvert, Théâtre Advienne que Pourra (Québec), Charlottetown Festival (P.E.I.), Urban Ink, The Cultch (B.C.) and Theatre Calgary (Alberta). When he is not performing, David is also a teacher at National Theatre School, Sheridan College and Randolph College.

From 2022-2024, David was the associate conductor and principal pianist for the international tour of West Side Story, directed by Lonny Price. Performed over 350 times, this production has traveled all around the globe in cities such as Paris, Tokyo, Zurich, Bangkok, Munich, Vienna, Dubaï, etc.

David won the Betty Mitchell Award for his music direction of Sisters: Les Belles-Soeurs Musical (Theatre Calgary/Segal Centre); was nominated for a Prix Félix with Waitress (Juste Pour Rire), a META Award for his work on Spring Awakening (Centaur Theatre) and was part of several Dora award winning productions in Toronto.
