JO O’LEARY-PONZO

MUSIC DIRECTOR

RESUME

Jo O'Leary-Ponzo is a Toronto-based music director, pianist, keyboard programmer, and arranger. They are a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education in Classical Piano and are currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Musicology.

Jo is passionate about the development of new Canadian works and has collaborated on workshops from Shreya Jha; as well as Ian Chan and Isabella Cesari. Selected credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, Ride the Cyclone, The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee (Shifting Ground Collective), Dogfight, Two Left Feet (Thaumatrope Theatre), and Company (Burloak Theatre Group).

Jo is enthusiastic about music education work, particularly with youth. They can be found teaching youth musical theatre classes around Toronto, as well as working as an accompanist and teaching assistant with various choirs through VIVA Singers Toronto.
