JUSTIN STADNYK - DIRECTOR

RESUME

BIO:

A director with a performer’s instinct and a producer’s eye, Justin Stadnyk brings over two decades of professional experience in Canadian theatre to the creative table. With 55+ productions as a performer—including the Original Canadian Company of Kinky Boots (Mirvish), Anne of Green Gables at the Charlottetown Festival, and credits with the Shaw Festival, Stratford Festival, Drayton Entertainment, and more—Justin now steps confidently into the director’s chair.

He recently made his directorial debut with Dogfight (Dry Cold Productions), after serving as Assistant Director on Beautiful – The Carole King Musical (The Segal Centre & Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre) under Kelly Thornton. He’s also completed professional mentorships with Stafford Arima (Theatre Calgary) and Broadway’s Lonny Price (Beaches – The Musical), further honing his understanding of large-scale musical storytelling.

With a background that spans music, movement, acting, staging, and sound design, Justin brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to his work as a director. Formerly Associate Artistic Director at Talk Is Free Theatre, he approaches each project with deep respect for every department, a collaborative spirit, and a sharp instinct for shaping unified, emotionally resonant productions.
