BIO:
Makayla Moore is a Vancouver-based choreographer, performer, actor, and producer whose work spans theatre, film, and television. With a foundation in musical theatre and an extensive performance career, she brings a collaborative, story-driven approach to movement that combines strong technique with a deep understanding of character and performance.
Originally from Calgary, Makayla trained at Drewitz Dance Productions and graduated from Capilano University's Musical Theatre program. As a performer, she has appeared in productions across Canada, danced with the Toronto Raptors, and performed internationally with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Her choreography credits include Off Campus (Amazon Prime), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Legally Blonde, High School Musical, Upload (Amazon Prime), Firefly Lane (Netflix), and Elf The Musical. She is also the co-creator and producer of The Dressing Room, the Leo Award-nominated comedy series now streaming on OUTtv, and co-director of Musical Theatre Mondays, a Vancouver-based training series dedicated to building community and supporting musical theatre performers.
Whether creating for stage or screen, Makayla is passionate about developing movement that is character-driven, collaborative, and rooted in authentic storytelling. She believes choreography should not only entertain but deepen character, strengthen relationships, and help tell the story.
